Frequently Asked Questions
I want to volunteer with the 麻豆成人版 ASB. What do I need to do?
Sign into at CDS. Click the 鈥淓vents鈥 tab, then click 鈥淪earch Events鈥. In the search box on the right of the web page, enter 鈥淎SB鈥 to view all ASB projects and RSVP.
Will transportation be provided for events?
We do provide transportation for select events. To find out if transportation is available for a specific event, please refer to the event听description on Handshake for that particular event.
Where should I report for the Transportation?
For the events that provide听transportation, students should report to the ASB Headquarters in the Campus Center Lobby at the specified time. When you register for an event, you will receive an email with all the details, including the exact timing and location.
Do I have to volunteer for the whole week?
No. You can volunteer for 1 day or all week, depending on the length of the project. Dates and times are specified in the project descriptions.
I am an 麻豆成人版 student. May I stay on campus?
You may stay in your dorm room if you currently reside in one of 麻豆成人版鈥檚 residence halls.
I don鈥檛 know anything about construction. Is training provided?
Experts will be available on-site if you are uncomfortable performing a specific task. Tasks include clean-ups, construction, painting, electrical, plumbing, finishing,g and survey research.
Will food be provided?
For most events, food vouchers will be provided. For some events, non-profit organizations may offer snacks or meals. While water will be available at most events, volunteers are welcome to bring their own water bottles. Be sure to check the event details for specific information on food offerings.
What should I wear during the week?
Wear closed shoes, jeans or sweatpants, and work boots if possible. Wear layered clothing. Be prepared. We will provide work and latex gloves. You may bring your protective eyewear, mask, or a construction hat if you can access one. Do not wear open-toe shoes or shorts. Show off your Highlander pride and wear your 麻豆成人版 shirt or sweatshirt if you have one.
What if it rains or snows?
The 麻豆成人版 Alternative Spring Break will take place rain or shine. In the event of a state of emergency that will require a cancelation of events, we will contact you. Please make every effort to attend every day you have committed to.
